Roz Foster joined the Goldin Agency in 2019 after six years as a literary agent with the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency. She holds a BA in English Literature from UCSD, an MA in English from Portland State University, and studied Philosophy at the University of Sheffield.
She’s drawn to contemporary literary fiction, especially literary speculative. She’s also interested in elevated mystery, crime, and thriller. She loves dark stories with a philosophical gravity at their core. She enjoys spare, perceptive prose, writing with emotional and intellectual depth, work with expressive access to our human truths. Think: Kazuo Ishiguro, Karl Ove Knausgård (his most recent novels), Paul Harding, Katie Kitamura, Samantha Harvey, Elif Batuman, Tana French, Yōko Ogawa and Rachel Cusk.
